1/43 Scale Slot Cars
Once considered a "toy product", the 1/43 scale slot cars have gained acceptance among adult hobbyists for their affordability, moderate space requirements and collectability. The general principals are similar to 1/32, although cars need different track and have a few notable differences. Instead of a guide flag, Carrera GO!!! and Carrera Digital 1/43 slot cars have a pin, which does not rotate. This sits in a plastic lined slot. The motors are smaller, but can take up much of the interior of the car, leaving no room for cockpit interiors. Strong downforce magnets allow for quick cornering and make the cars easier for newcomers to drive.
1:43 scale means that for every 1-inch (2.54 centimeters) on the slot car there are 43 inches (109.22 cm) on a full size automobile. Carrera slot cars in 1/43 scale are approximately 3" to 4.5" long (8-10 cm).
